New Born Lamb

I taught Sunday School for many years. Our church operated a Bus Ministry. We purchased old school buses, revamped them, and used them to bring children of all ages from all over the city to church. I taught 3, 4, and 5-year-old children. Most of them were brought in by the buses. We told them about Jesus while they were with us. The simplicity of a child’s adoration of Jesus is remarkable. They hear that Jesus loves them and they believe it. Even though they have not seen Him, they believe. We need that childlike faith, too.

Luke 18:15-17 – The Bible (NIV) – People were also bringing babies to Jesus for him to place his hands on them. When the disciples saw this, they rebuked them. But Jesus called the children to him and said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these. Truly I tell you, anyone who will not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it.”

  1. In the church of my youth every now and then someone put Jesus Loves Me in the hymn list thing for the service. I think it brought out in the adults what you are saying here.
