If you feel that no one loves you
If you feel no one’s on your side
If you think everyone’s against you
Remember your mother
If you need a vote of confidence
From someone who thinks you’re grand
If you can’t stand another rejection
Remember your mother
If you want to know what it’s like
To be cherished no matter what
Think back a year or two or three and
Remember your mother
My mother’s been gone many years
I’ve never forgotten her unfailing love
Or the way she always smiled at me
I remember my mother

This is a wonderful tribute to your mother and to mothers everywhere Carol! I like the repetition of “remember your mother”. For all mothers have done for us, we should always remember them. Thanks Carol! Be blessed 🙂

Hi Carol,
I removed the comments awhile back for various reasons.
As you said, I do have the rss feed but you do need a reader to get the feed. I use google reader myself. As of right now I don’t have an email subscription so the rss feed is the only way for it to come to you.
Thank you for visiting
God Bless

Such a sweet poem. It made me feel sad, too, because your mother is gone. At least she left you some pleasing memories.

Thank you for your kind comment, Janna. My mother died young; she was young and I was, of course, younger still, a young mother with preschool children at the time. It’s been many years, but I’ll never stop missing her. She was a great mom.
Happy Mother’s day to you, ms. mom. Blessing to you on this day and always…

So poignant! My mother, too has been gone many years. I’m only now realizing that the countless prayers she must have prayed in my behalf, were not only answered while she was on Earth, but are still being answered to this day! Yes, unfailing love. Christlike love! Thank you so much Carol Ann. This one really touched me deeply. :’)

What a great mom you had, Len. My mother was precious, too. She wasn’t the one that prayed me into the flock. She was a little distressed when it happened to me, but she was the same supportive mom as always. Before she passed away, she trusted in Jesus, too. When I prayed at her bedside asking the LORD to prolong her life, she squeezed my hand and said, “Why do you pray against me? I want to see Jesus now.” And so she did, very soon after.
Thank you for stopping by and for your comment. I love hearing about moms that prayed their children into the Kingdom. Blessings to you, Len…

Thank you, Trisha. I surely do know her worth. I experienced it for 27 years of my life and will cherish it all of my life. She was like a mama lion to us. We were her cubs. Dare not look down on her cubs! She loved us unconditionally. Blessings to you, Trisha…

Beautiful tribute Carol. My mom passed her love of reading to me. I never saw her without at least one book nearby. To her I credit my willingness to try new things for she was and is never afraid to learn new things.
Blessings to you dear friend on this Mother’s Day, Jeanne

Mine is still so cold, austere and aloof. Allows herself no frivolities, mends socks and no leftovers go in the garbage. I suppose she loves how she can based on who she is.

Aw. How hard on you that your mom was, and is, cumbered with some inward burden that keeps her from enjoying her life. Whatever caused here somber attitude probably kept her from enjoying her children, too. Blessings to you…

Thank you, Patti. Wed had a lovely day relaxing. I received phone calls from my children wishing me a Happy Mother’s Day and e-cards, too. We thought about going out for Mother’s Day lunch and decided to do it on a non-special day when the restaurants would be less crowded.
Thank you for stopping by and for your comment. Blessings to you…

Very poignant, Carol Ann. My mother and I weren’t terribly close. I didn’t really understand how much she had done for me until after I had children of my own. She died relatively young, but fortunately all of our children remember her. Thank you for sharing your memories.

I sure wish that my relationship with my mother (although I love her dearly) was as reassuring as the one which you describe of your own mother xx

Thank you for stopping by and for your comment. I was blessed with a loving mother. She often told me that she would always love me no matter what I did in life. Strangely, that had the effect of making me want to please her rather than not to be concerned about it. Grace is inspiring. I wish I could say that I never disappointed her. Blessings to you, Chloe…
