How do I find the meaning
How do I make up my mind
Read and pray read and pray
The day will finally come
The day will come most certainly
That we’ll understand more fully
God’s precious Word of Truth
As we read the Word and pray
When I see a pattern here
And another pattern there
I know that one line matches
A line that is its pair
The day will come most certainly
That we’ll understand more fully
God’s precious Word of Truth
As we read the Word and pray
How do you solve a jigsaw puzzle
By a simple division of colors
Connect the pieces you gathered
And a portrait will come together
The day will come most certainly
That we’ll understand more fully
God’s precious Word of Truth
As we read the Word and pray
The Word of God assembles for us
From Genesis to the Revelation
A portrait of our LORD and God
Jesus our Redeemer and Savior
The day will come most certainly
That we’ll understand more fully
God’s precious Word of Truth
As we read the Word and pray
We’ll find history and prophecy
Instruction in righteousness and truth
Warnings and words of blessing
Promises of hope and Heaven
The day will come most certainly
That we’ll understand more fully
God’s precious Word of Truth
As we read the Word and pray

2 Timothy 2:15 (The Bible) – Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that need not be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
Psalm 119:103-109 (The Bible) – How sweet are thy words unto my taste! yea, sweeter than honey to my mouth! Through thy precepts I get understanding: therefore I hate every false way. Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.
I have sworn, and I will perform it, that I will keep thy righteous judgments. I am afflicted very much: quicken me, O LORD, according unto thy word. Accept, I beseech thee, the freewill offerings of my mouth, O LORD, and teach me thy judgments. My soul is continually in my hand: yet do I not forget thy law.
Beautiful and so true. Thank you for reminding me the day will come and with it understanding.

Thank you for stopping by and for your comment. Yes, understanding comes little by little, precept upon precept, as we read the Word. It’s wonderful to read something I’ve read many times before and see something in it I’ve not seen before. We never stop learning from the inexhaustible Word of God. Blessings to you, Patricia…

Oh, my, yes, it’s hard to understand everything God does. Though, I suppose we’re really not supposed to know everything, LOL!
Thanks for this! 😀

I’m sure we will never know everything, unless God plans to tell us someday in Heaven. Probably not. But I love reading the Bible. It’s amazing how much He is willing to reveal right now in this day if we are willing to read the Word.
Thank you for stopping by and for your comment. I appreciate your taking time to do both. I know that making the rounds in Cyberspace is a daunting task. Blessings to you, Laura…

I loved this poem because I often feel like I know so little, but it’s good to think that one day, it will be clear.

What an insightful comment. Thank you. It is puzzling when our lives turn out differently than we expect. Someday we’ll see the beautiful pattern He has planned. Knowing from the beginning that our broken threads will need His careful attention, He weaves healing into the tapestry of our lives creating a unique masterpiece in each of us for His glory. Even now we wear garments of praise. Blessings to you, JoDee…

I also think again the way you think Carol, wisdom comes with time and experience. When the time comes we understand the greatest truths.

Thank you, Trisha, for your sweet comment. When we read the Bible, God reveals the meaning to us precept upon precept, line upon line. We are unable to understand it without The Holy Spirit revealing it to us. This doesn’t mean that the words don’t make sense. They make perfect sense, but like a jigsaw puzzle, we do not see clearly until God shows us. You have a sweet spirit, Trisha. God loves you and so do I. Blessings to you…

Ah – one day it will all make sense – but meantime, there is no doubt that God is good and that he has a divine purpose for us xx

Thank you for dropping by and for your comment, a praise to God. He does have a purpose for each of us. Yes, and He reveals much in His word, precept upon precept, line upon line. He doesn’t show us everything at once. We must read steadily, and over time, the picture will begin to come together, and it’s magnificent. Blessings to you, Chloe…
