Not Again

Hit the bottom
Sank below
Disillusioned
Dejected
Depressed
Angry too
Spoke my sorrow
Made my protest
Threw my tantrum
Shed my tears
Will I never rise above my weakness

Will I never hold out faithful to the end
Testing shows the bottom line

Was there progress

God only knows
Nevertheless
Jesus is mine

I John 1:9
If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

“Jesus is mine”. That always makes everything better. Just to acknowledge that he is personable is such a relief to me on bad days.

    • Greetings, Yvette. I’m pleased that you are here and I thank you for your comment. Yes, we all have bad days. I do strive to eliminate them, but they happen. It’s so wonderful for me to understand that God still loves me. Jesus says to my spirit that I’m covered by His sacrifice. Blessings to you, Yvette…

    • Good morning (here), Trisha. It’s so amazing that we can communicate while so many miles lie between us. Forgiveness in Jesus cheers me. I don’t have to stay sad because His sacrifice on the cross covers all my sin. Jesus is the Rock in a thirsty land, a shelter in the time of storm. You are my sweet friend, Trisha, and my prayers for your blessing and for the safety of your little girl go up to His throne on high…

God is exactly the same to me. She is the forgiving, loving, correcting mother to me.

even the thought of her fills me up with deepest comfort and peace.

Such beautiful poetry, Carol Ann – what a great reminder that Jesus is always there for us, even if we hit rock bottom, he is there. He will never leave our sides.
