The Mountains May Crumble

When the floor falls out beneath –
And the roof caves in – that’s
When your heart skips a beat –

When faith fails – when darkness
Veils your path – when tears
Drown you in your sleep –

When you feel all alone
While danger lingers near –
That’s when you want to hear

His still small voice and feel
His warm embrace – That’s when –
While clinging to your Lord –

You learn He never
Lets you down – Yes –
Our Savior never fails –

The mountains may crumble – and
The earth may quake – yet –
In Jesus we safely rest –

Psalm 46:1-7 – The Bible – (KJV) – God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore will not we fear, though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea; though the waters thereof roar and be troubled, though the mountains shake with the swelling thereof. Selah. There is a river, the streams whereof shall make glad the city of God, the holy place of the tabernacles of the most High. God is in the midst of her; she shall not be moved: God shall help her, and that right early. The heathen raged, the kingdoms were moved: he uttered his voice, the earth melted. The Lord of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah.

Matthew 28:18-20 – The Bible – (KJV) – And Jesus came and spoke unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

Loved this. It reminds me of my pastor who once told me that “if you don’t feel as close to God as you once did, you can be certain which one of you has moved.”
