I am the righteousness of God – in Christ –
So says the Word of God – but how –
How can it be with
Flawed – imperfect me –
God is merciful and He is just –
His mercy sent His Son
To die for all of us –
Satisfying Justice –
Offering forgiveness to all who call
Upon the name of Jesus –
Believe in Him and You
Will be saved –
Yes – Our debt was paid when Jesus died –
The punishment for sin is death –
God heaped our sins on Jesus –
Justice was met –
The Accuser says – you have sinned – you must die –
Jesus says – Father – I died for them –
They are redeemed – There
Is no spot in them –
I am the righteousness of God – in Christ –
So says the Word of God – but how –
How can it be with
Flawed – imperfect me –
Jesus – my Lord – set me free
When He died for me –
By faith I received God’s
Gift to me –
There is now no more condemnation –
Jesus paid it ALL –
Praise His name forever –
Leave Him NEVER –

John 3:16 – The Bible – KJV – For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
2 Corinthians 5:21 – The Bible – KJV – For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.
1 Peter 3:18 – The Bible – KJV – For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit:
Acts 16:30-31 – The Bible – KJV – And brought them out, and said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved? And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.
Romans 8:31-39 – The Bible – KJV – What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us? He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things? Who shall lay anything to the charge of God’s elect? It is God that justifieth. Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.
Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter. Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Thanks for reminding us which voice to listen to.

It’s a gift we don’t deserve, and could never earn. I’m thankful Jesus died anyway and we receive His grace by faith.

Please pray that I will have an open heart to the truth; that I will know it and be set free; that I will have faith in Jesus and repentance of my sin. That I will receive his grace. That I won’t be offended by my need but by sin. Thank you.
