That is certainly an unusual flower. I have never seen one before. I’m always amazed at the depth of God’s creativity, the details and the vast variety. I thought your previous post was very timely, coming up to Palm Sunday, bringing the Light to begin the illumination of the week to come.

I’ve never seen a nigella flower other than this photo. It’s lovely even if it does look a little disheveled. Since it was created by God, I’m sure it’s beauty is organized chaos, which of course, isn’t chaos at all, but rather design. I think it’s beautiful.

If it’s any consolation, I had thought that Easter was this weekend, too (it’s so late this year.) I liked the flower picture – that variety is one that I haven’t seen before, but I like the disheveled look 🙂

Yes, it is consolation that I am not alone in my mix-up. Thank you. Yes, Easter is late this year. I don’t remember Easter coming this late ever, but I’m sure it has. My memory fails me more than I can tell.

It’s never to early to think about the resurrection. I read this from the Bible Gateway site this morning and it helped me to focus my thoughts.
“There is one way to God. Let things in your life that should die, die. Let strivings die, let legalism die, let love for the world die, let personal spiritual pride die. Resign it all, give it all over, let it be crucified as Jesus let himself be crucified, and then you will be free.
Then we will have something to boast about. We will brag about Jesus Christ. We will shout his name to the world around. We’ll fill up with a pride not in ourselves, but in him. And we will look at his cross and see it as a moment of glory, not of shame.
Ponder This: Are there things you have been boasting about in your life? What needs to happen for you to boast only of Christ?”

I’m guessing that you have lots of strong, full-bodied hair that you wish would do something that it won’t do for you.
