Church on Sunday at East Stroudsburg United Methodist – Downtown East Stroudsburg – Continuing to Visit Churches in the USA – Camping in The Pocono Mountains of Pennsylvania –

Church

We arrived a few minutes late. GPS got us there but finding a parking place took some time. We put quarters in a meter but afterward noticed that other drivers apparently were parking free. Oh well, we got there and were welcomed. We listened to a message based on the account of Joseph in the Old Testament. Hearing the Bible preached was time well spent. Blessings to the churches of America that preach the gospel.

Metered parking to go to church? That seems odd. How are the Poconos this time of year? Is it as hot there as the rest of the country?

    • We drove through the church parking lot first, but it was all filled up. Next we parked on the street in front of the church. Yes, metered parking, but after we put our quarters in the slot, we noticed that the other cars showed no time on their meters and did not say expired. Apparently, as in many towns, metered parking is free on Sunday. Is it hot here? NO! But it is very humid. We had rain for several days in a row, but today the sun shines. Even on the hot days, we are always in the shade in the woods. Now the temps are in the low 80s each day in the sunshine. Blessings to you, Patti…
