I guess mega churches have their place but I prefer small congregations and a feeling of home.

    • Lots of people prefer smaller congregations for the reason you give. I like both kinds. For that home feeling that is so important the mega churches encourage groups that meet on Sunday for fellowship and Bible study. New people try out groups until they find the one they like best and join it. Here is where the social closeness occurs. Members of a group meet together socially in homes and plan outings together. If one has trouble or illness, the others rally around and meet their needs. It works. There is that special warmth of a small congregation that draws many, while others prefer the grandiose display of music and drama a mega church can produce. I’ve been in both kinds of churches, and Jesus was the center. He was the object of worship and hope in those churches I’ve been associated with. Both the bigger ones and the smaller ones. We plan to visit both kinds in our travels. Blessings to you Patricia…

Wow, that place is huge! That’s an exciting plus to your travels, visiting with brothers and sisters you’ve yet to meet.
