How can I say with assurance that God loves us in America and all the populations of the Earth? The Gospel, the good news to all peoples, proves that God loves us. He gave us His Son, Jesus, who offered Himself willingly on the cross to die for our sins, for love, taking away our condemnation forever. What more proof of His love could there be? If one believes it, of course. It’s true, whether or not everyone believes it, but this precious gift goes right over the heads of those who fail to embrace His redeeming love.
Steve made it his special project to find and and purchase a flag and pole that could be attached to our motor home, so we could fly the red, white, and blue wherever we are. When we pull up stakes to travel, he must disassemble and pack it away. I believe his enthusiasm will not wane. He will pack it away safely and erect it again when we park somewhere else for a period of time. I’m getting to know this man very well. He is not a shirker of work when he sees it as worthwhile.
Back to the subject of my first paragraph: I’ve heard people say that God must judge America for her sins. Not so. Jesus went to the cross to pay for the sins of the entire world. God justly forgives our sins, because Jesus paid the price with His own blood. What a wonderful Savior! God blesses America and the world because of his unfailing love. Bad things happen here and everywhere. The devil is the source of our troubles. Jesus is our salvation. Praise His name!
John 3:16 – The Bible (KJV) – For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
2 Corinthians 5:19 – The Bible (KJV) – To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.
