Chelsea Has a New Groomer – Not Enough Area to Groom Her in the Coach – What a Sweet Baby – But How Does She Get So Soiled So Soon – Can’t Understand It –

Chelsea Clean

Chelsea is bright and white again! (The legs in the photo belong to my husband Steve.)

Only a few days from her last grooming Chelsea got herself dirty again, we thought. We were sure she was getting sand on herself when we were walking her along the canal everyday. She would scuff her feet in the stones and dirt throwing debris into the air and onto her body.

We fixed that. We changed the direction of her walk avoiding the canal. Aha! We would know where she walked and what she did all the time. Surely Chelsea would stay clean walking only in the grass along the sidewalk.

Nothing changed! Her fur became gray and ragged-looking just like it did before and only a few days after her bath and cut. Now we know Chelsea is innocent! Dirt is the culprit! It hunts her down and grabs her fur!

Oh, yes. Anything white attracts dirt, food, etc.

White anything is impossible to keep clean- that’s why my kids have no white shirts 🙂 However, my cats have white paws and they are pristine…. I think it’s because they can’t get dirty sleeping all day!

White fur just attracts dirt better than dark fur. Like white sweaters attract spaghetti sauce better than black sweaters.

    • Everyone seems to agree on this point, Patricia. I know for sure Chelsea isn’t engaging in any activity that would dirty her fur. I have one more hope to prevent her getting so dingy before her grooming time: I will brush her fur often, maybe daily, as long as it doesn’t bother her. This may help keep her looking pretty. She is a sweety. Thanks for stopping by. Blessings to you…

She’s just plain cute as a button. 😀

  6. Have you been posting ? Seems I’m not getting notifications. Merry Christmas.

    • Merry Christmas to you, too, Carl. I have been posting infrequently for several reasons. Changing our lifestyle to RV full time was a challenge to our time. Then we found out that the cost of Internet connection via a hot spot was very expensive with all data used being chargeable. In a brick-and-stick home we had Internet connection that provided unlimited access to wifi on our phones as long as we were at home. Now all data usage is chargeable. The cost was awful, and we complained. A smart provider rep helped me go to our phones and turn off data usage to any apps we were not using. What a difference! Now time and habit are our only restraints. Being denied access for so long caused both of us to change our habits. Now that the cost is contained, we hope to be using the Internet often again, and I will be posting frequently again. Thanks for noticing, Carl. Blessings to you…
