Site 73 Tree

Our motor home barely fits on Site 73, but here we are. I love the tree, probably a grapefruit or an orange tree, which Steve had to trim before we could open our door without branches hitting us in the face. We may run into a space problem often. We knew the large size of our coach would be an issue, but this coach will be our home all the time, wherever we are, and we want the space. We have a bath and a half, one luxury we consider important.

We are packing, unpacking, and repacking the stuff in the basement (compartments below the coach) to maximize the use of our storage areas so our living area will be attractive and uncluttered.

Soiled clothing needed a place to dwell. Plastic bags filled with laundry became a temporary solution. T.J. Max provided the final fix, a wicker laundry hamper, for $39 plus tax. It holds about three days of items to be washed. Steve and I, accompanied by our Bichon Frise Chelsea, did the laundromat scene three times. We never want to do it again, so laundry will be a daily chore. Life goes on. I don’t mind doing laundry at home, even though there is not a laundry room here to make the job more pleasant. The washer and dryer are located in the main bathroom. A window must be open for air safety while the dryer is running. I’ve washed and dried several loads, small loads, and I know these appliances work. Ah, life on the road is like life always is in oh so many ways.

You do have deluxe accommodations in traveling homes.

    • Yes, we do have a nice coach, but there are many more luxurious RVs than ours with price tags that we could not consider. We are glad for ours. It is very nice. Blessings to you and Teddy and Jack…

What a fun adventure. I’d avoid the laundromat too 🙂

    • The three times we went to the laundromat seemed even worse than I remembered from bygone days. Laundry is manageable at home. I am grateful for the washer and dryer. Blessings to you, Janna,,,

How nice to have your own laundry appliances! I’ve never had a good laundromat experience, though they’ve been few–thankfully! Had to chuckle at the mention of your basement. 😀

    • I apologize for my late reply. I would be lost without the washer and dryer. Laundromat is not for me. Yes, the basement is interesting. Steve has loaded and reloaded our stuff, trimmed down and adjusted many times. He is a stickler on organization. Blessings to you, Patti…

What few visits I’ve made to a laundromat weren’t very pleasant. Steve sounds like my father-in-law. We would be awed by how much stuff he could cram into our trunk when we visited!
