Psalm 107:8 – The Bible (KJV) – Oh that men would praise the Lord for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men!
I heard a story once (not a Bible story). I’ll try to tell it like I heard it:
An infant prince was kidnapped from a king’s palace. He grew up in poverty not knowing he was a prince.
Was he a prince? Yes, he was, and he was entitled to the riches and inheritance of his father’s throne, but he never knew it.
Was he rich? Yes. But he lived his life in poverty.
We can be like that to one degree or another.
Psalm 107:2 – Let the redeemed of the Lord say so, whom he hath redeemed from the hand of the enemy…
Isaiah 53:1 – Who hath believed our report? and to whom is the arm of the Lord revealed?
Isaiah 54 – Sing, O barren, thou that didst not bear; break forth into singing, and cry aloud, thou that didst not travail with child: for more are the children of the desolate than the children of the married wife, saith the Lord. Enlarge the place of thy tent, and let them stretch forth the curtains of thine habitations: spare not, lengthen thy cords, and strengthen thy stakes…
There is so much to know, so much to learn, so much to enjoy in Christ our Lord, our Redeemer. A lifetime is not long enough to know and experience all the benefits that belong to the redeemed. Thank God we shall live forever.
John 8:32 – And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.
