Friend of the Friendless – Jesus – Jesus – Jesus –

image

Jesus – Jesus – Jesus –
Friend of the friendless –
Calmer of the storm –
Keeper of the Covenant –
I rest in You –

Blue on blue –
Sky on water –
Me and You –

Peace like a river
Cleanses my soul –
Drives away fear –
Settles every doubt
Like rain soaks the earth –

Blue on blue –
Sky on water –
Me and You –

Jesus – Jesus – Jesus –
Your Love my trestle –
Your power my pillow –
Your presence my poise –
I rest in You –

Blue on blue –
Sky on water –
Me and You –

John 14:16-18 – The Bible (KJV) –  And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever; Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you. I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.

Matthew 11:28-30 – Come unto me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.
