The Lord is my Shepherd –
I shall not want –
Is this a promise –
I believe it is –
You are my Lord –
You always have provided
All I ever needed –
Throughout the years –
Generously – Not only
Have you given me all
My natural needs – food –
Clothing and shelter –
More than that – You
Have loved me with
An everlasting love –
And I know it –
Lord – You have taught me –
By your Word and through
Your servants – all I have
Needed to know – and in
These latter years –
You have expanded my
Understanding – Lord –
I am astounded at how much
I didn’t know – that now I know –
How great You are – So powerful –
So generous – so strong –
A billion volts of goodness –
As one of your servants put it –
Your glory shines everywhere –
We are containers of your glory –
If only we could grasp this truth and
Let Your light glow from within us –
Let Your love flow from inside us –
If only … If only we would know it –
And not forget it – If only we would
Believe it and not doubt it – If only…
