The Kindle app on my tablet was working fine, but I couldn’t read the words on the screen. Glare from the sun was spoiling my fun.
Solution: a new Kindle with a glare-free screen.
I received my new Kindle a few days ago. It’s great. I included my thumb in the photo to illustrate how small it is (the Kindle, not my thumb). Amazon uses the front page to show me what I may purchase, if I want to spend money. The ads change every time I use it. I thought I wouldn’t like this feature, but I do. I like holding this lightweight e-reader in my hand. The pages turn easily with only a slight touch of my finger or thumb. The font may be adjusted quickly to the size I prefer. All my books are available on this Kindle in a cloud. I’m sure most of you understand the cloud better than I. I picture it up there in the sky with all my books in it. Ha!
A cloud of e-books…There’s a sci-fi movie waiting to happen 🙂

Non-glare is a great feature. I wish all digital devices had that. Is this the same as paperwhite? Or is that a different model?

The paperwhite version has a built-in light and it costs more. I bought the cheaper one since I have a tablet that I can use when I need a lighted screen. My new Kindle has a dictionary. I like that feature. If I want a definition, I touch the word and the definition pops up. Thanks for stopping by, Patti. Blessings to you…

Thanks for clarifying that. There are so many options any more–and the dictionary is a must for anyone who reads a lot. Blessings to you.

I didn’t check the paperwhite version for a dictionary. It may have one also, but my Kindle App did not, and neither did my first Kindle from years ago.
