A whistle, loud and clear, broke my concentration. I looked up from the book I was reading to see which bird could produce such a piercing sound. I grabbed my phone and slowly approached the blooming ocotillo plant where this bird was perched. Other times I’ve tried to get a shot of a bird nearby, but I couldn’t get close enough before they all flew away. Today this friendly whistler stayed put for me. I haven’t learned to recognize Arizona birds yet, so I can’t tell you its name.
Most mornings, as the weather has warmed, I’ll be sitting on a lawn chair in our yard drinking coffee, reading, contemplating sunshine, springtime breezes, and blue Arizona sky. All this beauty reminds me that God is good. All the time…
Your lawn chair sounds like the perfect place to spend some time.

This time of year is nice to hang outside for a while… a few months from now, not so much 🙂
