Galatians 3:13 – The Bible (KJV) – Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree:
Jesus came to do what we could not do. He left Heaven for us. He kept the law perfectly on our behalf. Jesus came to earth to die for us, the God-man; the Son of God became the sacrificial Lamb who took away the sins of the world. Jesus took our place in judgment. He bore the punishment for our sins. Victorious in His mission, Jesus rose from the dead. He is our Savior. He is our Lord and King.
Luke 10:27 – The Bible (KJV) – Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind; and thy neighbor as thyself.
Has anyone ever fulfilled, performed, or accomplished this mandate other than Jesus Himself? The verse above is a summation of the Ten Commandments. This is the very law we have all failed to keep.
Jesus came to save us from our sins. We stood in condemnation until Jesus died in our place. What a Savior! What kind of love is this that the Son of God would suffer and die for us?
Isaiah 53:1-7 – The Bible (KJV) – Who hath believed our report? and to whom is the arm of the Lord revealed? For he shall grow up before him as a tender plant, and as a root out of a dry ground: he hath no form nor comeliness; and when we shall see him, there is no beauty that we should desire him. He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not. Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed. All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the Lord hath laid on him the iniquity of us all. He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth: he is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so he openeth not his mouth.
What a SAVIOR! This is how we know God loves us.
