Dawn – I Watch for You – Longingly –

Night SkyWhile sitting by the window –
Deepest darkness staring back at me –

But not for long – for Dawn is near –

First shimmer of light appears-
Whose whisper dismisses the cold dark night –
Whose radiance sparks a flame in me –

Dawn – I watch for you – longingly –

Winter Home
Daylight increasing steadily –
Darkness but a specter now – a
Shadow creeping –
Diminishing – as
Valiant light must vanquish it –

Dawn – I watch for you – longingly –

Knowing without a doubt that
Daylight follows dawn – that
Darkness cannot stay –

Dawn – I see sun rising –

Let another day begin –
