Chicken Oven

I like to cook most of the time. Today I wanted to rest from cooking. I knew just what to do. I thawed half a chicken, which is all the two of us need for a meal. I seasoned it with salt, pepper, and garlic powder, and I poured some water in the bottom of the dish for broth. (I save the broth for another use within three days. If I haven’t used it within three days, I toss it out.)

When I took the chicken out of the oven about an hour later, I cut up a few raw vegetables, added some grapes, a slice of gluten-free bread (from Costco), and called it lunch. (I like celery but Steve doesn’t, so I gave him twice as much broccoli.) Steve didn’t complain. He is a dear.
