Blue Fan Palm Trimmed – Steve Worn Out – Ten Hours of Hard Work Standing on a Ladder – And Carrying Palm Fronds to the Curb for Pickup – Is This Another Saguaro Cactus – Yes –

Blue Fan Palm Trimmed

There is the Blue Fan Palm with all the lower branches trimmed away. Ten hours of tree trimming and hauling palm fronds to the curb has exhausted Steve. It is possible for Steve’s energy to run out. Who would’a thought.

Notice another tall cactus is still standing in our yard. We look at the Saguaro Cactus in a new light now. Before we saw a mammoth tower of strength; now we see a threat to the van and the car in the driveway should another monsoon storm cause it to fall. What to do? We have to think about that.

  1. Looks like a natures created green monolith. Very artsy.

Arizona’s vegetation is so different from what I’m accustomed to seeing. Love that palm–but ten hours? That’s a LOT of trimming, on a ladder, at that!

    • Steve hadn’t trimmed it in four years, so the limbs that needed to be removed were many and high up in the tree. I agree about Arizona’s vegetation being different. It really is different from any I’ve seen over the years.

It is very nice of you to catch up on my posts. I appreciate your taking the time, Blessings to you, Patti…
