Look at that Stack of Cactus – We Went Out Saturday with Our Friends – When We Returned – Our Neighbors Had Completely Finished the Cactus Removal Job for Us – What Amazing Neighbors – Steve Is Freed to Accomplish Other Tasks – Like Trimming this Palms Tree –

Cactus Removal FinishedWhat a sweet surprise Saturday afternoon as we approached our home and saw the cactus piled at the curb and the yard completely free of cactus debris! What a lot of work that was! We are thankful. It was my pleasure to bake zucchini bread for our neighbors to enjoy.

Palm Tree Trimming 2Steve had purchased a new hand saw to cut up the cactus. Now that he is freed from the cactus removal job, his new hand saw is working well on his tree trimming project. This is our favorite palm tree, a Blue Fan Palm. I love palm trees. Steve doesn’t share my enthusiasm for palms. He looks at them from the viewpoint of trimming their branches while standing high on top of a ladder. I understand, but I still love them. The Blue Fan Palm is larger yet not as tall as many others. Last year Steve removed a very tall palm that was too close to the house.

I’m glad your neighbors stepped in to help. It’s always nice when we get a hand without even asking 🙂

What wonderful neighbors to surprise you with a clean-up! I love palm trees, too, but the Live Oaks are quickly becoming a favorite. They are amazing trees.

    • I like live oaks, too. They are magnificent the way they spread out and become a canopy over the earth they inhabit. Steve and I plan to travel in the future. I look forward to seeing my family and live oaks again. Maybe someday I’ll have the pleasure of meeting you, maybe at a Panera for lunch. It will be one or two years before we can make our travel dreams happen. Blessings to you, Patti…
