Celebrating with Seafood and Gluten-free Fettuccine Alfredo – Demolition of Old Flooring is Finished – Cleanup of Thick Cement Dust on Every Surface Begins –

Fettuccine Alfredo, prawns, and scallops with orange slices and grapes

Shopping at Costco last night, my eyes fell on the seafood display of scallops and shrimp prawns. These are food items that we don’t usually buy.

“Why don’t we celebrate finishing the floor demolition with a seafood lunch tomorrow?” I said to Steve pointing to the scallops first and then the prawns.

“Get some,” he said with a twinkle in his eye, and I ordered enough for one lunch.

Along with the scallops and prawns, I prepared noodles made with all-purpose gluten-free flour. I cut the dough into the shape of fettuccine noodles. I made a sauce pan full of Alfredo sauce to go over it, as well.

Pasta 1I used a recipe with a video showing each step to make the noodles on allrecipes.com. It was fun and didn’t take long at all. I used gluten-free all-purpose flour instead of wheat flour. I like pasta made with gluten-free flour better than pasta made with wheat flour! Make it and enjoy it!

Here is a link to the Alfredo sauce.

I agree, a celebration was in order to herald the completion of one phase and prepare to move to the next phase. Your lunch looks lovely.
