Went to Wendy’s for Lunch – Did Not Cook – Had Chili with Onions and Cheese – Baked Potato – FROSTY – No Gluten-free Menu – But I Avoided Wheat I Think —

WendysSteve and I went to Wendy’s today for lunch while we were out shopping. We partied with friends several days last week, Thursday at Golden Corral, Friday, the Fourth of July, at a friend’s home for a potluck dinner, and Sunday after church at Olive Garden, and later to The Perch with my sister and her husband. I’m looking forward to a day to cook at home and rest up from all the fun we’ve had. I’m thankful for our friends and all the good times we have together.

This afternoon, Steve and I dined together at a simple place, Wendy’s. We both had chili. I had a baked potato, and Steve, French fries. We shared a vanilla Frosty. I seldom leave Wendy’s until I’ve had a Frosty. Today was no exception. The drink in the photo was Steve’s medium root beer. He brought it home still half full. The food was quite satisfying, as always. We enjoyed it.

It’s not easy to find restaurants, the fine dining kind or fast food, that have menus with more than a few gluten-free items. I’m coping with this problem. It’s a better irritant to deal with than the pain and sickness my undetected allergy caused me for many years.

Do you find fast food restaurants inviting places to stop and eat when you are out shopping or running errands? Which one is your favorite? I’m a health food advocate, yet, I find a place for the convenience of fast food. Feel free to express your complete disdain for them, if that is how you feel.

I like fast food…maybe too much. But now that I am mostly meatless I don’t eat fast foods as often.

    • I’m in the same position, but instead of being meatless, I am wheat-less. Ha! Patricia. I like fast food when I’m out and about, but now that I have to seek gluten-free foods, I eat at fast foods less often.

Thanks for stopping by and for your comment. Blessings to you…
