I’m not surprised if you have never heard of pH balance with reference to our physical health. Eat more fruits and vegetables. We have heard this for decades. We thought (I thought) it was all about nutrition, and perhaps it was, but there was more to know. Quoting from this article, Acid-Alkaline Balance and Its Importance to Your Health, I am listing the adverse results of prolonged pH imbalance in the body. (Click the link if you wish to read the entire article.)
The List:
Accelerated aging
Demineralization
Fatigue
Impaired enzyme activity
Inflammation and organ damage
Proliferation of harmful microorganisms
Here is a link to one of many online lists of acidic and alkaline foods. (Click on the link if you wish to read it.) Not all vegetables and fruits are alkaline. All kinds of foods are listed with their acidic or alkaline ratings. Most people that suffer from pH imbalance in the USA are more acidic than alkaline, because we consume too much soda, coffee, alcohol, meat, and fish, and not enough water, vegetables, and fruits.
May we all live long and healthy lives.
Why is it so hard for this generation to eat healthy? We know what’s good and what’s bad so why do we consistently choose the food and drink that hurts us? Where was that line crossed? Good article Carol Ann. 🙂

I don’t know the answer to that question, Elizabeth. I like soda and coffee, and I have eaten wrong for many years. I think it takes experiencing the bad effects of our wrong diet to make us take notice. Unfortunately, much damage occurs during our time of taking it lightly. Blessings to you, Elizabeth…
