So often – LORD – I disappoint myself –
And I think I disappoint you –
But then I remember
That You knew me
Before You saved me –
My failures are no surprise
To You – Oh Jesus –
Forever You love me –
With great pleasure – LORD –
I love YOU

This reminds me of Joyce Meyer’s testimony, :God knew what He was getting when He got me.”

I used to watch Joyce Meyer on my computer in Texas. I remember her saying that, too. She put it just that way. Thanks for stopping by, Patti. Blessings to you…

Oh, you are so right, Carol. Our identity is in Him. God created us in His image. I just read in a book last night (The Truest Thing About You, David Lomas) that when Jesus was baptized, before he even began his ministry, God announced publicly, “This is my Son, in whom I am well pleased.”
It’s the same with us. We don’t have to DO anything for God to be pleased with us. He loves us and is well pleased with us just because we ARE.
