The day has finally arrived that my novel, Buddy for David, is in print and available on my publisher’s website. Very soon it will appear online at Amazon and Barnes & Noble. Three weeks later, eBooks will be on sale, also.
I like the cover design. It shows two main elements of this story, danger and hope. Danger is portrayed by the silhouette of the boy running and the dog attacking the kidnapper. Hope is demonstrated by the comforting presence of the Great White Pyrenees dog.Β The cover was inspired by a scene taken from the book. CrossLink’s graphic design artist did a great job, I believe.
There will be more to come about my book, as I create a webpage for it and begin spreading the word. I hope many will read it.
Please, leave a comment or a like. I would appreciate it very much. Thank you…
How exciting!
I empathize with what you’ve had to do, and have yet to do.
Congrats! Can hardly wait to read “Buddy”.
Best of luck and many blessings,

Thank you. I received marketing instructions yesterday. Yikes. The part of writing that one doesn’t think about while writing. One day at a time, one idea, one launch at a time. Blessings to you, Len…

Do you have an author page on Facebook? That would be a good place for others to share your book, too.

No, but it’s one of the marketing strategies that Crosslink has outlined for me. I may make a Facebook author page my next project. I have an Amazon author page, in progress. I have many marketing projects on the horizon. It’s amazing how much an author must invest financially to make a book sell, even an author that has signed a contract with a publisher. I had no idea that being published the traditional way would cost so much, once the book has been published. I’m am fast approaching the limit that I am willing to pay without a return. Once my savings account has been exhausted, I’m finished with spending money on it. I have to help my daughter. She comes first. I cannot afford a loss any more than a publisher. A person must have priorities. I’d like to see Buddy for David become a bestseller, but I cannot let it become an obsession. Blessings to you, Patti…

We’ve had speakers at writers group who opened our eyes to publishing, and how marketing falls to the author now. Facebook is a big platform that reaches a lot of people. Praying you will be led to reach and connect with those who can get your book into all the right places.
