Unearned, Undeserved, Unmerited FAVOR

Rain FallingHow obvious it is to me – LORD – Your
Unearned – undeserved – unmerited
Favor covers me like feathers –
Enriches me and
Blesses me like

Scourged – mocked – crucified – JESUS – You – in dying –
Provided all I lacked –
Paid the debt I owed – in full –
Leaving me never –
Saving me ever –
Guilt and

LORD – You lift me out of all my troubles because
I am Your beloved –
Blessed and favored I am
Every single day –
When I pray –
I can have
I say…

Why are You so good to all Your children – LORD –
Unearned – undeserved – unmerited
Favor coming freely from You – Father –
You gave Your Son for us –
Jesus made us righteous

Falling RainHow obvious it is to me – LORD – Your
Unearned – undeserved – unmerited
Favor covers me like feathers –
Enriches me and
Blesses me like

Ephesians 2:4-9 – The Bible – KJV – But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us, even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;) and hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus: That in the ages to come he might show the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus. For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.

Mark 11:22-24 – The Bible – KJV – And Jesus answering saith unto them, have faith in God. For verily I say unto you, that whosoever shall say unto this mountain, be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith. Therefore I say unto you, what things so ever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.

John 1:17 – For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.

Hebrews 8:7-13 – The Bible – KJV – For if that first covenant had been faultless, then should no place have been sought for the second. For finding fault with them, he saith, Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah: Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day when I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt; because they continued not in my covenant, and I regarded them not, saith the Lord. For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people: And they shall not teach every man his neighbor, and every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord: for all shall know me, from the least to the greatest. For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more. In that he saith, a new covenant, he hath made the first old. Now that which decayeth and waxeth old is ready to vanish away.

Your heart is full once again, and it overflows with gratitude and His words.

    • Yes, I am grateful, most of all for receiving my husband. I am grateful for a publisher, also, but without a husband to cherish and enjoy, all other blessings for me would have seemed less than satisfying. God is truly wonderful. He granted me the deepest desire of my heart.

Thank you for your sweet comment. One of your gifts is always knowing what to say to encourage someone else. I am always encouraged by your words. Blessings to you, Patti…

Carol Ann this is a beautiful poem. So soothing it just makes you feel good. 🙂

And are you publishing a book? If so you must share where we can get a copy!

    • Thank you for your kind words concerning my poem. Yes, I have written a novel. It will be printed soon. The estimated time I was given was three or four months from the time I signed the contract. Then my life changed drastically by my marriage and move to Arizona, and I had to postpone the last edit and finishing touches. I started writing the manuscript long, long ago. There were not many intervals during my life that allowed me time to work on it. At last it is finished. Now I must wait a little longer to see it in print and to tell all about it. You will surely hear about it here on my blog the moment the print happens. Thank you for asking. Blessings to you, Elizabeth…

  4. glad to have you back! I feel the same gratitude towards God, I feel so unfairly pampered, protected and loved and am so much grateful for that!

    • I’m glad that you, also, are award of the protection of God in your life. May your days be always filled with grace. May your troubles be few and your rescue in each trial be sure and timely. Blessings, Trisha…

I love your words of appreciation and gratitude. I’m glad to see you are finding your way after such a difficult time in your life.

    • It was a difficult time, and I am very grateful for deliverance. Sometimes I felt like a hostage with a bomb strapped to my waist. How’s that for overwhelmed? I was never in any danger, just foolishly looking away from my faithful provider. Jesus is LORD! Thanks for stopping by, Janna. Blessings to you…
