Jesus – My Identity

Your Beloved I am –
You died for me –
Paid the price
To set me free –

Who am I – I am You –
In You I dwell –
The world to tell –

My identity rests
In your faithfulness –
Such a nest –
Oh  Yes – how blessed –

Who am I – I am You –
In You I dwell –
The world to tell –

Your Beloved I am –
You died for me –
Paid the price
To set me free –

Who am I – I am You –
In You I dwell –
The world to tell –

John 17:20-23 – The Bible – KJV – Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word; That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me. And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one: I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me.

Ephesians 1:3-6 – The Bible – KJV – Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ: According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love: Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will, To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved.

1 John 4:13-17 – The Bible – KJV – Hereby know we that we dwell in him, and he in us, because he hath given us of his Spirit. And we have seen and do testify that the Father sent the Son to be the Savior of the world. Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwelleth in him, and he in God.  And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him. Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world.

2 Corinthians 5:17-21 – The Bible – KJV -Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold all things are become new. And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation; To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation. Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ’s stead, be ye reconciled to God. For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.

How very true! When folks look at us they should always see Him. Love that third stanza. How cozy and comforting! Thanks for the reminder Carol Ann. I needed that. 🙂

    • Thanks for stopping by, Len. Yes, it is song-like. If I knew how to write music and play an instrument, I’d write songs. I’m sliding back into life slowly but surely. Blessings to you, gloryteller…

Songs that let one supply the music of the heart are a sweet blessing! You write the lyrics and our hearts will sing the song!
God will skate you back in. I like the word “surely”! As long as you’re breathing, He can use you for His good plan. 😉
