Thank you, Elizabeth. God is good. He keeps my husband eating, which nourishes his skin so that he won’t get bed sores as easily. I don’t want bed sores to happen to him. I turn him often in his bed to prevent it, but if his skin is not nourished, it will be difficult to keep him free from that agony. Right now his skin is clean from any infections. Carol Ann, my mother has a mat on both her bad and chair that prevents bed-sores. They are made of a fine plastic tubing filled with air. Kinda reminds me of the old Lilo’s we sun bathed on in the pool, but much softer and lighter. They have been a God send. Do you have anything like that? Love and hugs, Elizabeth

Yes, Johannes has an air mattress, which does a great job of favoring his bottom and other pressure points as he lies in the bed. I have a gel pillow for his wheelchair, but he doesn’t get in it any longer. His back muscles are too weak, and the air mattress is much better for his bottom. Johannes had a massive stroke a year ago, and this complicates his condition. He is unable to move the right side of his body and cannot speak. Alzheimer’s interferes with rehabilitation from the stroke, and the stroke interferes with his ability to cope with Alzheimer’s. Love and hugs to you, too, dear friend. Blessings unnumbered…
