Malachi 4:2 – The Bible (KJV) – But unto you that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in his wings…
1 Chronicles 16:8-11 – The Bible (KJV) – Give thanks unto the LORD, call upon his name, make known his deeds among the people. Sing unto him, sing psalms unto him, talk ye of all his wondrous works. Glory ye in his holy name: let the heart of them rejoice that seek the LORD. Seek the LORD and his strength, seek his face continually.
I suppose I’ll always have problems with that “fear” word in reference to God. I don’t want to fear my father. Rather not know him.

Fearing our Heavenly Father means to reverence, honor, and respect Him. “…unto you that ‘reverence’ my name…” It is a matter of translation, I think. The Good News Translation (GNT) says: Malachi 4:2 – But for you who obey me, my saving power will rise on you like the sun and bring healing like the sun’s rays.
Thank you for your comment, Carl. I appreciate your thoughts. Blessings to you…

and obey and cherish had very similar meanings in ancient Hebrew… think “cherish” in place of the word obey

Carl…I know what you mean…but “fear” is a respect…a full knowledge of His “all-good” and our “all-not good”…
Malachi 4:2 in the Message:
But for you, sunrise! The sun of righteousness will dawn on those who honor my name, healing radiating from its wings. You will be bursting with energy, like colts frisky and frolicking.
and 1 chronicles 16:8-11 message:
Thank God! Call out his Name!
Tell the whole world who he is and what he’s done!
Sing to him! Play songs for him!
Broadcast all his wonders!
Revel in his holy Name,
God-seekers, be jubilant!
Study God and his strength,
seek his presence day and night;

The first prayer is your faithful prayer asking the Father God for help. Then I pray each day giving thanks in the present tense for God’s healing upon him. Thank you Lord for healing and strengthening Johannes’s body. We will not forget His benefits for He heals all your disease and forgives your all your iniquities and redeems you from destruction .Psalms 103:2

Thank you, Bern. Thank you for your prayers. This is exactly what Johannes needs, and God is faithful to provide his daily healing. There is none like our Savior. Worthy is the Lamb of God! Each day I ask the Father in the name of Jesus to help my husband swallow. Loss of ability to swallow is typical of Alzheimer’s. Johannes loses his ability to swallow, and daily, God gives it back to him. Blessings to you, Bern…
