There’s No God Like JEHOVAH

There’s no God like JEHOVAH
Among the gods there’s none like YOU –
It’s true – Jesus – King of Kings –
You gave Your life blood
On a cross for us

I’ll praise You in the morning sunshine
I’ll praise You in the mid day heat
I’ll praise you when it’s raining buckets
I’ll praise you while earth spins –
My God – the mighty One

There’s not a problem You can’t solve
There’s not one soul You don’t love
You speak a Word and devils run
When all is said and day is done
It’s only You I crave

Like a child I look for You –
High and lifted up – Your face
I seek – LORD – my Savior –
Tears falling from my eyes today
You’ll brush away someday

Psalm 150 – The Bible (KJV) – Praise ye the LORD. Praise God in his sanctuary: praise him in the firmament of his power. Praise him for his mighty acts: praise him according to his excellent greatness. Praise him with the sound of the trumpet: praise him with the psaltery and harp. Praise him with the timbrel and dance: praise him with stringed instruments and organs. Praise him upon the loud cymbals: praise him upon the high sounding cymbals. Let every thing that hath breath praise the LORD. Praise ye the LORD.

Psalm 86:8-13 – The Bible (KJV) – Among the gods there is none like unto thee, O Lord; neither are there any works like unto thy works. All nations whom thou hast made shall come and worship before thee, O Lord; and shall glorify thy name. For thou art great, and doest wondrous things: thou art God alone.

Teach me thy way, O LORD; I will walk in thy truth: unite my heart to fear thy name. I will praise thee, O Lord my God, with all my heart: and I will glorify thy name for evermore. For great is thy mercy toward me: and thou hast delivered my soul from the lowest hell.

Reminds me of a song. 🙂 Behold He comes, riding on a cloud, shining like the sun…
Flashes of lightning are all I see through the curtains, hear the rolling thunder, and rain. He is crying with you tonight, Carol. Hang on, His grip is sure.

    • Yes, His grip is sure. Thank you. I feel very comforted today even though this is still happening. We’ll take one day at a time and ride out the storm. God is good. I’m sure of it. Thank you for stopping by and for your kind comment.

Yes, I can assure you that this was the song that inspired the title of my poem. That music runs through my head a lot. Good thing for me that I couldn’t remember the rest of the lyrics or I’d be in trouble for plagiarizing. Ha! I knew it was in the song, There’s none like JEHOVAH! It runs over and over in my mind. There’s none like JEHOVAH! I just had to use that line. I love it. Blessings to you, Patti…

Your words convey such praise, and hope. I especially like the ending…one day, He will brush away our tears.

    • Thank you for stopping by and leaving me an encouraging comment. Praising the LORD gives me strength and hope. I know I can trust Him even when life becomes complex and threatening. I know He is in control. And, we have his promise on the tears:

Revelation 7:17 says: For the Lamb which is in the midst of the throne shall feed them, and shall lead them unto living fountains of waters: and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes.

Blessings to you today and always, Janna…

    • Thank you for stopping by. I looked at your blog, Mirth and Motivation. I didn’t see a way to comment, but I saw lots of comments. I clicked on the “like” button. Very nice blog post. An attitude of gratitude is always better than griping about our circumstances.

I appreciate your visit and your comment. Blessings to you…

    • Wow! I’m sorry you had a problem posting a comment. I will check it out further. I found your four comments in my Spam folder. I marked them all as NOT SPAM. I can’t imagine why that happened. There was nothing in your comments that should have caused them to go to Spam.

Thank you for stopping by, and for your sweet comment. And thank you very much for trying to make it work. You have brought the problem to my attention. Blessings to you…

i think the problem is with wordpress, they must be doing some work in the site. today my own posts are enjoying free will. my sticky posts (which i always check before signing out) are becoming non-sticky by themselves.

I needed something and suddenly this great poem was there.
When the heat of the day hung on me like a sweat-soaked shirt
And slowly wore me down, I read you in the cool of the evening
    And found comfort-rest.
    I immediately felt good.
    Better,
    Finally, best.
You are appreciated. Most of all by Him.
    Graced and lovingly blessed.
