Great Is Your Faithfulness

Day went by

Night falls in quiet shifts
Dusk – then moonlight –
Changes – too – in shifts
Have come

Challenge comes in
Different shapes and many sizes
Making life
A match of strategy
At times

Two worlds collide
But not without Your oversight –
Please – LORD –
Build a bridge between
The two

I think I’ll go
To bed and sleep in peace
Because I’m
Tired and tomorrow holds
New mercies

Lamentations 3:22-26 – It is of the LORD’s mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness. The LORD is my portion, saith my soul; therefore will I hope in him. The LORD is good unto them that wait for him, to the soul that seeketh him. It is good that a man should both hope and quietly wait for the salvation of the LORD.

    • Blessed be the name of the Lord, indeed. Did that come from the book of Job or from the Psalms? Maybe both. Anyway, I love it. Thank you for stopping by and for your comforting comment. Blessings to you, Patti…

    • Sometimes even when we listen to God, our worlds seem to collide. But never stop trusting our gracious God. His mercies do not fail. He works all things together for the our good.

Joseph was a man in the Bible about whom there was no criticism written. Yet, Joseph suffered much pain and harm, which he surely didn’t deserve. He continued to trust and serve God throughout his life. In his latter years, God had prepared Joseph to become second only to the ruler of Egypt. From this high position of authority, Joseph helped the Egyptians and many other nations, and even the people that had caused him harm. But, in his early years and for many years, Joseph’s world collided with trouble. Joseph was the apple of God’s eye, and he knew it, even in all his troubles. Blessings to you, Trisha…

    • Yes, indeed, they do, but God is bigger than them all. He is able to deliver us from trouble or walk through it with us. I’d opt for deliverance every time, but sometimes we need a good walk with God, and He doesn’t cheat us out of it. Blessings to you, Suzi…
