I Don’t Know What Lies Ahead

Father – thank You for Jesus –
Thank You for unfailing love –
For the truth You’ve shown me –
And mysteries I don’t understand –

Father – thank You for my husband –
In the name of Jesus – my LORD –
I bring my husband before You –
LORD – heal his newest issue
 
Give him peace in his heart –
Strengthen his body and mind –
Answer his prayers and mine –
I don’t know what lies ahead
 

Thank you for every hour

We’ve lived together – LORD –
What a sweet gift You gave
Me – my husband – my friend
 
Father – let me hold
Your hand – May I trust
You no matter what –
Resting in Your promises –
 
Asking for more time
With my husband here –
Walking hand in hand
Praising You together
 
May we grow in grace
And knowledge – LORD –
May we praise You
More and worry less
 
Thank you for the privilege
Of prayer – for how much
You care – for all You
Do – We thank You
 
Amen

Philippians 4:4-9 – The Bible (NIV) – Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things. Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me—put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you.

    • Thank you, Jane. We appreciate your prayers and LeRoy’s and Suzi’s and Patti’s and everyone who is praying. We have enjoyed our lives in our new land (Texas) for almost two years. We are grateful.

      My hubby became suddenly much weaker and had episodes of spasm in his leg. During an episode, his leg quivers and won’t support his weight, like having a useless leg. He fell twice, but was not injured. I thank God for His mercy. He’s also had some visual abnormalities with this. It started on Thursday night, was at its worst (I hope) on Friday, and began to improve remarkably on Saturday :), undoubtedly because of the prayers of others being added with ours. Thank you very much, Jane. He sees the doctor tomorrow.

    • Thank you, Janna. My husband’s strange issue that threatened our way of life has already improved a lot. Alzheimer’s causes things to happen that are scary. In my husband’s case, they usually go away or improve a lot. I hope this one, that caused him to fall down, will go away entirely. Thank you, Janna. You are a blessing to me. Blessings to you…

  7. Carol Ann, I have read your post and also your comments. I am praying that your husband is much better by tonight and that you will get an encouraging report from his doctor tomorrow. I have subscribed to your blog and look forward to more of your inspirational writings.

    • Thank you for your prayers. I appreciate your kindness and concern. Already, as you prayed, my husband is doing much better. We will head for the doctor’s office in about an hour. I hope that the doctor will find that all is well and that this was just another Alzheimer’s insult, and that it will disappear as many others have. We are thanking God in all things, and we are asking for healing. It appears that He is healing this issue.
