There is None Like You – Almighty God

The ones I love have fallen –
There’s no one to rescue
But You – Oh LORD my God –
Turn their hearts to You –
Cause them to see –
To hate lies –
Open eyes –
Show them
Truth –
Liberate –

Is there no one to stand
In the gap for them – You
Only made the way –
You promised me all
I ask in faith –
Your Word
Abides
In me –
You live
In me –

Your Word remains in me –

You keep your promises –
Thank You – LORD –
For hearing prayer –
For holding them in
Your mighty
Hand –
Nothing’s
Too hard for
You

I praise You – LORD – There
Is none like You – Almighty
God – Jehovah Nissi
Jehovah Jireh – Jesus –
LORD of warriors – Provider –
Savior – Who
Sets the
Captives
Free –
Amen

John 15:4-8 – The Bible (KJV) – Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me. I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abides in me, and I in him, the same brings forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing. If a man abides not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned. If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you. Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples.

John 15:4-8 – The Bible (New Living Translation) – Remain in me, and I will remain in you. For a branch cannot produce fruit if it is severed from the vine, and you cannot be fruitful unless you remain in me. “Yes, I am the vine; you are the branches. Those who remain in me, and I in them, will produce much fruit. For apart from me you can do nothing. Anyone who does not remain in me is thrown away like a useless branch and withers. Such branches are gathered into a pile to be burned. But if you remain in me and my words remain in you, you may ask for anything you want, and it will be granted! When you produce much fruit, you are my true disciples. This brings great glory to my Father. “Live in me. Make your home in me just as I do in you. In the same way that a branch can’t bear grapes by itself but only by being joined to the vine, you can’t bear fruit unless you are joined with me.

John 15:4-8 The Bible (The Message) – “I am the Vine, you are the branches. When you’re joined with me and I with you, the relation intimate and organic, the harvest is sure to be abundant. Separated, you can’t produce a thing. Anyone who separates from me is deadwood, gathered up and thrown on the bonfire. But if you make yourselves at home with me and my words are at home in you, you can be sure that whatever you ask will be listened to and acted upon. This is how my Father shows who he is—when you produce grapes, when you mature as my disciples.

The first pick looks like much of the mountains we saw out west last fall! Was thankful none of those rocks broke loose and fell on me while we were hiking!

  2. Incredible. The first stanza is almost word for word what I pray for my 2 adult children each night. When I am angry I am less serene a la “Dear Lord, bust their skulls open and jam they Light into their heads.”

    • I sympathize with you, Carl. I believe God hears and answers our prayers even if it doesn’t look like it. He knows how long we will live, and it may take that long to accomplish his purposes in our lives and the lives of our families. I will keep praying and trusting God to rescue my loved ones, and I am sure you will keep praying for your children, also. Blessings to you…

This is probably the heart cry of every believer. May we all agree in prayer together for our loved ones who are far from Him.

Carol Ann, sometimes we can get weary in the waiting. Especially when things look like they are getting worse. Sometimes we think we can hurry change along by telling those we are praying for what they should do or how they should be. But your prayer is spot on. It’s not up to us to try to hurry things along. It is our job to pray and call on the Lord in faith and He will answer and save those we love and who have lost their way.

Remaining in Him is the only way to hold on to faith and believe for miracles. Thanks for sharing the scriptures that admonish us to remain in Him. Sometimes we just need to be reminded of that.

Beautiful prayer/poem. It can feel so helpless when someone we love stumbles – at least prayer makes us feel like we are “doing” something 🙂

    • When we pray, we are bringing God’s mercy and might into a situation. It’s a great comfort to know that what we cannot accomplish, God can. I know what you mean about feeling helpless. Sometimes the answers seem slow in coming. Perhaps through our prayer God plants a seed, but we don’t recognize the sprout that will someday become the tree. We need to continue our praying while we wait for the victory to manifest.

Thank you for stopping by and for your sweet comment. Blessings to you, Janna…

its such a painful realization to know one’s loved ones are not true.

in the end, i believe, we can control only one person, ourselves. pray for the others.

    lots of love.

My Strength, my Fortress, my Deliverer, Strong Tower, Rock, my Shelter…

God desires a relationship with us…all we can do is pray for those we love to also love Him…it’s frustrating and heart breaking…I have a deep desire for those I love to be transformed and changed by this God who creates and changes and loves and directs and corrects and delights in us…

    blessings on your Sunday!
