Thank You LORD for All You Do

Thank You LORD for all You do
Thank You for reaching me
And teaching me
Thank You for
Loving me
Too

Thank you for knowing where I’m at

For reeling me back when I’m
Caught in the undertow
When I’m feeling
Out of
Whack

Thank you for always being here –

For times when you make it clear
You are the Mighty One –
Able to rock
Land and Sea –
And me

Thank you for looking me in the eye –

For calling me down when I
Revolt – for not striking –
But teaching
Me how to
Follow You

There is none like You – LORD –

Spirit of Holy God leading me –
Thank You for loving me
Ceaselessly
Fervently
Freely

Psalm 32:8-11 – The Bible (KJV) – I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye. Be ye not as the horse, or as the mule, which have no understanding: whose mouth must be held in with bit and bridle, lest they come near unto thee. Many sorrows shall be to the wicked: but he that trusts in the LORD, mercy shall compass him about. Be glad in the LORD, and rejoice, ye righteous: and shout for joy, all ye that are upright in heart.

Jeremiah 31:3 – The Bible (KJV) – The LORD hath appeared of old unto me, saying, Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love: therefore with loving kindness have I drawn thee.

Proverbs 3:5-12 – The Bible (KJV) – Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the LORD, and depart from evil. It shall be health to thy navel, and marrow to thy bones.

Honor the LORD with thy substance, and with the first fruits of all thine increase: So shall thy barns be filled with plenty, and thy presses shall burst out with new wine.

My son, despise not the chastening of the LORD; neither be weary of his correction: For whom the LORD loves he corrects; even as a father the son in whom he delights.

Another beautiful poem, Carol. I like the formatting of this, how the lines of each stanza taper down in words. I need to learn more about poetry, thank you for sparking my interest in it. Blessings to you, sweet lady!
Have you been outside listening to the birds?

    • Thank you, Patti. I appreciate your kind comment.

Yes, I have been out listening to the birds. There is one mockingbird that sings loudly every morning. I try to spot where he is perched, but I haven’t found him yet. He must be close to me, but he’s not always in the same place. I need binoculars. Ha! Then I’d find him. Blessings to you, my dear friend…

I agree with Patti – the format on this poem is nice. My favorite part:

You are the Mighty One –
    Able to rock
    Land and Sea –
    And me

I also like the picture of the swimming tiger…pretty kitty 🙂

LOL that was funny Carl 🙂

I agree, this is another beautiful poem Carol Ann. I especially love the way you talk
to God. For those readers who do not know Jesus as their Savior your blog is an eye-opener. So many in this dark world see God as an unmerciful Judge because the fear mongers are often heard far above His still small voice. But anyone reading your posts will know immediately that He is Mercy and Love. Well done 🙂

    • Thank you, Elizabeth. I needed encouragement today. I appreciate your kind comment. I hope my poems speak loudly of God’s love and faithfulness. I don’t want to make God look like a big Santa Claus in the sky who puts up with anything we do, because He isn’t like that. He disciplines us when we need it, but in the gentlest way possible to turn us around. I am forever grateful for His tenderness, patience, and willingness to spend years tapping away at my character, never stopping, but never pounding or condemning. Blessings to you, Elizabeth…

  5. Yes indeed, Carol. Thank You, Lord. The sure and certain knowledge that God loves me no matter what is the only thing that can completely calm me at times of my own feelings of uncertainty.

I am certain of God’s love, always, and I am pretty certain the world will not end today. I can’t say for sure, because NOBODY KNOWS!!! The only thing we have control of is how we live our lives. I choose to live mine in faith, hope and love! Appears to me that you have made the same choices! Makes for a great life and a world that will never end.

    • Thank you for stopping by and for your comment. He guides us, turning us to the right and to the left, keeping us on the straight path. Why is it we are prone to wander? I know I am. I find myself needing God to guide me back to shore. Enjoy your weekend. Blessings to you…

Thank you Carol for these words this morning. They speak to me in my revolting of this past week. I most assuredly have been trying to do things my own way.

    • Thank you, Jeanne, for your visit and your comment. Sometimes it takes a while before I recognize when God is trying to get my attention about something. He doesn’t raise His still, small voice, but He keeps right on keeping on the same subject until I quit resisting. Then, best of all, God rewards me richly for doing what He wants. Thank you for the blessings. Blessings to you, too, Jeanne…
