LORD – Who Are the Righteous

FATHER in your Word are many promises
Promises made to the righteous –
Who are the righteous
 

I am not righteous LORD – You know –
Not in myself – It’s not in me LORD
To do right for long
 
My heart breaks when I fail –
How do you forgive me
As though I had not sinned
 

My child – all this time do you
Not know that My righteousness
I’ve given you
 
The Accuser has no power
To harm you – no charge against
You prevails
 
You believed the testimony
Of My Word – You trusted Me
Like Abraham – by faith
 

Your sins are covered forever
By My sacrifice – My blood shed
By My Son –
 
Your righteousness is from Me
You will never be condemned –
Stand sure in this –
 

My child – You are blessed
You are mine – don’t fret –
Obey and rest

Salvation by faith expressed in scripture from Genesis to Revelation (italics added):

John 3:16 – The Bible (KJV) – For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

Genesis 15:3 and 6 – The Bible (KJV) – And Abram said… And he believed in the LORD; and he counted it to him for righteousness.

Isaiah 54:17 – The Bible (KJV) – No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of me, saith the LORD.

Isaiah 64:6 – The Bible (KJV) – But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags…

Romans 4:1-8 – The Bible (KJV) – What shall we say then that Abraham our father, as pertaining to the flesh, hath found? For if Abraham were justified by works, he hath whereof to glory; but not before God. For what says the scripture? Abraham believed God, and it was counted unto him for righteousness. Now to him that works is the reward not reckoned of grace, but of debt. But to him that works not, but believeth on him that justifies the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness. Even as David also describes the blessedness of the man, unto whom God imputes righteousness without works, saying, blessed are they whose iniquities are forgiven, and whose sins are covered. Blessed is the man to whom the Lord will not impute sin.

Ephesians 2:8-10 – The Bible (KJV) – For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

Revelation 19:7-8 – The Bible (KJV) – Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honor to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready. And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints.
