There’s No Condemnation – I’m Free

I look out the window and see

Trees bending slightly in the breeze
Branches swaying
Green flutter

Yet I sulk – no smile – no glee –
Thoughts conveying awful vibes in me –
Essence of my

LORD you are not the one – not you
Crushing my spirit – Am I the one –
Could I be she
Pounding me –
Oh my –
No – Not so – LORD – not so –
The Enemy – He pummels me –
My child – why listen –
Why not hasten him
To flee

How – LORD – how shall I make
Him flee from me – How shall I prevail –
What I say sends
The Liar away
You say –

Tell me again what to say LORD –
Truth makes the Liar quake and fear –
There is no condemnation –
Now – I say –
You hear –

There is no condemnation for those
In Christ Jesus – Go away Liar – flee –
There’s no condemnation –
Jesus paid –
I’m free

I look out the window and see
Trees bending slightly in the breeze
Branches swaying
And I am

Romans 8:1-4 – The Bible – Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit who gives life has set you free from the law of sin and death. For what the law was powerless to do because it was weakened by the flesh, God did by sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh to be a sin offering. And so he condemned sin in the flesh, in order that the righteous requirement of the law might be fully met in us, who do not live according to the flesh but according to the Spirit.

John 3:16-18 – The Bible – For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because they have not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son.

Romans 5:12-21 – Therefore, just as sin entered the world through one man, and death through sin, and in this way death came to all people, because all sinned—To be sure, sin was in the world before the law was given, but sin is not charged against anyone’s account where there is no law. Nevertheless, death reigned from the time of Adam to the time of Moses, even over those who did not sin by breaking a command, as did Adam, who is a pattern of the one to come.

But the gift is not like the trespass. For if the many died by the trespass of the one man, how much more did God’s grace and the gift that came by the grace of the one man, Jesus Christ, overflow to the many!

Nor can the gift of God be compared with the result of one man’s sin: The judgment followed one sin and brought condemnation, but the gift followed many trespasses and brought justification. For if, by the trespass of the one man, death reigned through that one man, how much more will those who receive God’s abundant provision of grace and of the gift of righteousness reign in life through the one man, Jesus Christ!

Consequently, just as one trespass resulted in condemnation for all people, so also one righteous act resulted in justification and life for all people. For just as through the disobedience of the one man the many were made sinners, so also through the obedience of the one man the many will be made righteous.

The law was brought in so that the trespass might increase. But where sin increased, grace increased all the more, so that, just as sin reigned in death, so also grace might reign through righteousness to bring eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

1 John 1:8-9 – The Bible – If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.

James 4:7 – The Bible – Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

Yay! And no weapon formed against God’s children shall prosper. Submit to God, resist the devil, and he shall flee. There is power available to overcome all the enemy would throw at us. Only believe! Good Word, Carol. Anointed.

    • Thank you for your visit and your encouraging comment. I added James 4:7, which you quoted, to the Bible scriptures at the end of my post. Thank you for refreshing my memory. Blessings to you, Patti…

  2. Tekia says:

A really lovely post. I’ve actually been reading Romans chapter 8 (particularly the second half beginning with verse 18) as of late. This is another wonderful piece Carol! Blessings to you 🙂

  3. jacsprat says:

I have to remind myself that all the time-when I’m angry or upset it’s not because God isn’t providing, it’s because I’m getting in the way of his blessings for me. I love Psalm 16:11 that says there is joy in his presence!

    • Yes, I agree that we can get in the way of our blessings. Our inner voice speaks to us, often negatively, influenced by our disappointments and thoughts spoken into our minds by the enemy. When we speak to ourselves the truth of God’s Word and reject false messages, we clear the interference, and experience the joy we possess in Christ. Great Psalm you quoted. I will add it here so anyone reading will now what it says:

Psalm 16:11 – The Bible – You make known to me the path of life; you will fill me with joy in your presence, with eternal pleasures at your right hand. (NIV)

  4. i luv that about God. He anticipates us and says, “fear not” at every turn. i luv it also because i am flattered that He understands me and “mine” in all our emotional turmoil.

    • I agree, Sana. We have a loving God who cares for us and understands us better than we understand ourselves. His Holy Spirit comes to us through our mind, heart, and spirit, healing us with His words of love and encouragement. Blessings to you…

this is splendid carol. truth is the best way to bid goodbye to lie. there is no need of friction, combat any thing- just sticking to truth is all we need.

so very much love your posts, the journey of realization of beauty through them.

    • Thank you for your encouraging comment. You have articulated the message of my poem; as you said, truth is the best way to bid goodbye to lie. Thank you for stopping by, Trisha. Blessings to you…

      • trisha says:

i am not much of the warrior type (i admire their spirit, courage), i prefer doing my duty by firmly standing on the grounds of truth, by directly supporting.

      • Blessings to you, today and always, Trisha. The truth is the best weapon against a lie. Thanks for stopping by and for your comment.

  7. planejaner says:

It’s hard to tell ourselves there’s no condemnation…we are born and bred, it seems, on guilt…
to think Jesus paid the price and we are free…it’s too much to wrap our heads around…

    • It’s natural to feel condemned, but the truth is that we are forgiven. Believing the truth and claiming it breaks the power of the lie. The joy of the Lord is our strength. Thank you for stopping by and for your comment. Blessings to you, Jane…
