Speak to the Mountain

I speak to the mountain that
Stands in my way
Be moved you mountain
Get out of my way

Flat land lies ahead of me
My pathway is clear
I stand on your promise
Believing your Word

Calling what is not as though
It were – I say it’s so
Your promise is sure
I’m ready to go

Nothing’s too hard for you
Nothing at all
My praises I raise LORD
To you on your throne

Thank you for showing me
How great you are
Thank you for being
All that you are

No enemy can defeat me
While you stand by
I’m taller and stronger with
You by my side

By faith I fight battles and
Win without might
My prayers are like missiles
You empower and ignite

Mark 11:23-24 – The Bible – For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith. Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.

Romans 4:14-22 – The Bible – For if they which are of the law be heirs, faith is made void, and the promise made of none effect: Because the law worketh wrath: for where no law is, there is no transgression. Therefore it is of faith, that it might be by grace; to the end the promise might be sure to all the seed; not to that only which is of the law, but to that also which is of the faith of Abraham; who is the father of us all, (As it is written, I have made thee a father of many nations,) before him whom he believed, even God, who quickeneth the dead, and calleth those things which be not as though they were. Who against hope believed in hope, that he might become the father of many nations, according to that which was spoken, So shall thy seed be. And being not weak in faith, he considered not his own body now dead, when he was about an hundred years old, neither yet the deadness of Sarah’s womb: He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God; And being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform. And therefore it was imputed to him for righteousness.

    • This is true, Trisha. And the Bible tells us if we speak to the mountain, telling it to be removed, we will have what we ask. The mountain represents our prayers that seem very difficult. But nothing is hard for God. 🙂 Jesus said: For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.

You are precious to God, Trisha. Blessings to you…

Still trying to figure out WordPress. I thought I could subscribe to your blog from my dashboard, but apparently that is not what the “subscribe” button does! So, I’m running behind on reading your posts. I did subscribe through your page now. It’s refreshing to read familiar scriptures, sometimes it’s like they are all new again. And I cherish the words He gives you to write, to bring His word into context in everyday life. Thanks, Carol.
