Father Remember Them

Father I’ve never seen or heard of
Times that look more like the
Last of the last days yet
Your mercy could prolong
Or your mercy could shorten
I praise you for your
Love for us
Remember LORD

Father why do many look away from
Truth and choose an alternate
Counting reasons to believe you
Yet they choose another way
They look within themselves
For everything
When inside
We are dust
Remember us

Remember us when your kingdom comes
Remember us as you promised
Long ago – Come for us
When you close this age of grace
Before the years of wrath
Let the trumpet blast
Take us up
Remember LORD

In the days that remain let a harvest flow in
Open the eyes of blind hearts
Open stopped up ears
Let the mighty prayers of your people
Like missiles piercing Satan’s heart
Set captive souls free –
In your awesome LOVE
Remember THEM

1 Corinthians 15:51-58 – The Bible – Behold, I show you a mystery; we shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory. O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory? The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law. But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.

1 Thessalonians 4:13-18 – The Bible – But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him. For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep. For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. Wherefore comfort one another with these words.

Matthew 15:1-4 – the Bible – 1The Pharisees also with the Sadducees came, and tempting desired him that he would show them a sign from heaven. He answered and said unto them, when it is evening, ye say, It will be fair weather: for the sky is red. And in the morning, it will be foul weather to day: for the sky is red and lowering. O ye hypocrites, ye can discern the face of the sky; but can ye not discern the signs of the times? A wicked and adulterous generation seeketh after a sign; and there shall no sign be given unto it, but the sign of the prophet Jonas. And he left them, and departed.

2 Timothy 3:1-7 – The Bible – This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away. For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts, ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.

1 Thessalonians 5:1-11 – The Bible – But of the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need that I write unto you. For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night. For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape. But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief. Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness. Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober. For they that sleep sleep in the night; and they that be drunken are drunken in the night. But let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love; and for an helmet, the hope of salvation. For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ, who died for us, that, whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with him. Wherefore comfort yourselves together, and edify one another, even as also ye do.

This is pure bliss carol. God will never forget us, not even those of us who hate and defame God.

    lots of love.

    • My prayer for those who hate and defame God is that God will open the eyes of their blind hearts and open their stopped ears, so that they may believe the truth. God will not excuse unbelief, and promises eternal hell to those who resist and refuse the truth. God will accept anyone who will believe the gospel, God’s plan of salvation, even on the very last day of that person’s life; but, if that one dies in unbelief, there is no hope. God does not demand anything from us for salvation of our souls but faith, belief, in Jesus, who died to redeem us. God. Blessings to you, always, Trisha…

    • Both of your new blogs are very nice. I left a comment in one of them. I’m not sure what I’m supposed to do for the Thursday blog. Do you want me to leave a link to one of my posts inside a comment? I’m not technologically trained. I struggle in this area. Blessings to you…

Great poem. I truly love the last verse and the prayer for the non-believers to see the truth and for God to not forget them.

    • Thank you, Janna. God loves them more than we do, so there is surely hope. I so very much hope to see a great harvest of believers soon. All the sorrows and troubles in the world break hearts and prepare them for mercy and grace. Blessings to you, Janna…

  7. These are powerful words, Carol Ann. I feel quite desperate when I watch the television scenes of destruction, anger, fighting and hatred in today’s world. The helplessness is painful, ‘though of course not as painful as their wounds. I am reassured by the greatness and love of the God who is over all.

    • Thank you, Carol. When the world stage looks bleak, as it recently has, I, too, remind myself that He will come for us in due time, and until then, He will walk with us through the valleys and the fires that may burn around us. We are blessed with sweet hope and joyful expectation. Thank you for stopping by and for your encouraging comment.

Hard to imagine, “in the twinkling of an eye,” how quickly things will change. But as of late, it seems just that fast that so much unrest has occurred. Watch, and pray. Thanks for pouring the oil that keeps our lamps filled. Blessings to you, sweet one.
