Man of sorrow carries woes
Sent by the Father
To save us all
All that trust in Him
Shall live
Sins forgiven
Son of God gave Himself
To savage death
Once for all
All that trust in His name
Shall live
Sins forgiven
Jesus Christ Anointed One
From Heaven sent
For one Event
All that trust in His name
Shall live
Sins forgiven
He came to die on a cruel cross
So we could have
A life to live
All that trust in His name
Shall live
Sins forgiven
Mission accomplished by Him
Who draws us
To his cross
All that trust in His name
Shall live
Sins forgiven

Romans 10:8-13 – The Bible – But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach; That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
John 3:16 – The Bible – For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. 17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. 18 Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because they have not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son.
Matthew 9:2-6 – The Bible – And, behold, they brought to him a man sick of the palsy, lying on a bed: and Jesus seeing their faith said unto the sick of the palsy; Son, be of good cheer; thy sins be forgiven thee. And, behold, certain of the scribes said within themselves, This man blasphemeth. And Jesus knowing their thoughts said, Wherefore think ye evil in your hearts? For whether is easier, to say, Thy sins be forgiven thee; or to say, Arise, and walk? But that ye may know that the Son of man hath power on earth to forgive sins, (then saith he to the sick of the palsy,) Arise, take up thy bed, and go unto thine house.

I was talking to a co-worker today about a client who is a fabulous, good-hearted, caring person. This person feels that despite the volunteering and advocacy work they do, there is no meaning to their life.
My co-worker and I concluded that we’re very glad to have faith in God because it removes that existential angst. Even when things don’t make sense, we know God is with us. Makes a HUGE difference in our well-being.

Thank you for stopping by, Laura, and for your comment. I agree with you and your co-worker. It makes a vast difference to be trusting in God even when we don’t understand. I like the way you put it. It removes that existential angst. We can live in peace knowing that we are safe in His care, not just in this life, but forever. Blessings to you…
