Thousands in number they stand
The enemies of my soul
They array themselves for battle
To terrify and control
They’ve neither legs nor feet
Yet they march to war in troops
Isolation hunger and poverty
In multitudinous groups
Though they descend from skies above
Or walk through fields of grain
Or hover like locusts o’er barren land
Or invade our seas like oil
I’ll run fast to You and early LORD
The Rock that’s higher than I
I’ll leap into your courts – El Shaddai –
In the secret place I’ll hide
In Your promise like a child I’ll rest
As you taught me in my youth
When I wished my feeble life would end
You showed me that we would win

Psalm 61 – (The Bible) – Hear my cry, O God; attend unto my prayer. From the end of the earth will I cry unto thee, when my heart is overwhelmed: lead me to the rock that is higher than I. For thou hast been a shelter for me, and a strong tower from the enemy. I will abide in thy tabernacle for ever: I will trust in the covert of thy wings. Selah.
For thou, O God, hast heard my vows: thou hast given me the heritage of those that fear thy name. Thou wilt prolong the king’s life: and his years as many generations. He shall abide before God for ever: O prepare mercy and truth, which may preserve him. So will I sing praise unto thy name for ever, that I may daily perform my vows.
What a beautiful poem to express what the scripture you included says. “My heart is overwhelmed: lead me to the rock that is higher than I.” I’m encouraged.

That’s the way it is for us for the moment, caught between two worlds. Sometimes the seen world clouds our vision of the unseen one. Good thing we will one day win and only see the unseen.
