The Best Is Yet and Forever

I watch you shine in my life
As You fill my heart with hope
My days with pleasure spill over
I thank you LORD for your favor

All this is but the beginning
I praise You LORD of my life
The best is yet and forever flows
The crystal river of life

I watch you change my sorrows
From pain to bright tomorrows
I sense your presence within me
LORD I thank you for caring for me

All this is but the beginning
I praise You LORD of my life
The best is yet and forever flows
The crystal river of life

A spot in eternity this life is
A flash to grasp and let go
Lamb conquers death triumphantly
Splits the cocoon for the butterfly

All this is but the beginning
I praise You LORD of my life
The best is yet and forever flows
The crystal river of life

Revelation 22:1-7 – (The Bible) And he showed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb. In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.

And there shall be no more curse: but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it; and his servants shall serve him: And they shall see his face; and his name shall be in their foreheads. And there shall be no night there; and they need no candle, neither light of the sun; for the Lord God giveth them light: and they shall reign for ever and ever.

And he said unto me, These sayings are faithful and true: and the Lord God of the holy prophets sent his angel to show unto his servants the things which must shortly be done. Behold, I come quickly: blessed is he that keepeth the sayings of the prophecy of this book.

        Carol Ann–
        Let’s just say…I write when I can/as I can…how I can…also, I am not a caregiver like you are! 🙂 I mean, mother, sure…but my challenges must be much different than yours.
It is a joy of mine to stick close to the blogs (people) I care about–so, “finding the time” is actually a selfish blessing for me
        so. there you go.
        blessings back at you!

    • I’ve been writing for many years as a way of expressing my feelings, but I enjoy it more when I can share it with other people. Now finding photos to go with it, makes it more of a challenge. I am enjoying it. Thank you for taking the time to stop by and for your encouraging comments. Blessings to you, Laura…

Another beautiful poem – I love the verse, but also these words “I watch you change my sorrows From pain to bright tomorrows” – to me, that pretty much captures the joy of knowing that there is a purpose to life…

    Blessings to you Carol xx

  10. Sometimes we don’t see those sorrows being changed until we look back from tomorrow’s perspective, but there is hope in God’s promise to be there for us. Thank you once again for sharing your beautifully worded thoughts.

    • Thank you for your wise comment, Carol. Yes, it is usually from looking back that we see the truth of better tomorrows coming from yesterday’s troubles. I’ve seen it from hindsight more readily. I remind myself of this when challenges come. I strive to keep my eyes on focused on His faithfulness. Blessings to you now and always…

While Revelation bothers a few, in many ways it offers the reassurance that is needed, especially in troubled times, that God is always nearby. I especially like “… there shall be no night there; and they need no candle, neither light of the sun; for the Lord God giveth them light …”.

    Many blessings.
