I’ve given some and received a lot
From people that care
From those who dare
To open their hearts
Their homes and resources
Who’ve shown me hospitality
Treated me with dignity
Forgiven my stupidity
Made light of my mistakes

Very sweet thought, Trisha. I hope my blessings for people go out in thousandfold. We all need blessings from a rich and powerful God, and He is willing to pour them out. For me, the people in this life who I aprpeciate the most have done the things you’ve said in this wonderful poem “…shown me hospitality, Treated me with dignity, Forgiven my stupidity, Made light of my mistakes…” These are the things needed to treat others as human, as equals and as brother sand sisters, but it’s always a blessing to see that in action or to be at the receiving/giving end. A lovely and heart-warming poem. Thanks xx
