The House…

The book of Proverbs portrays Wisdom as a wise woman that invites troubled individuals to come to her table and learn her ways.
Proverbs 9:1-6
1 Wisdom has built her house
she has hewn out its seven pillars.

2 She has prepared her meat and mixed her wine;
she has also set her table.

3 She has sent out her maids, and she calls
from the highest point of the city.

4 “Let all who are simple come in here!”
she says to those who lack judgment.5 “Come, eat my food
and drink the wine I have mixed.

6 Leave your simple ways and you will live;
walk in the way of understanding.

The Father in Heaven sent His perfect, sinless Son, Jesus Christ, to die on the cross in our place to pay for the sins of the entire world providing the way of salvation, forgiveness, cleansing, a hope, and a future to all who are willing to believe in His name.

Matthew 7:24-27 (Words of Jesus)

24Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:

25And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.

26And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand:

27And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it.
John 3:16-18 (Words of Jesus)

16For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

17For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

18He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
Mark 16:1-6 (The Bible, New Testament, After Crucifixion and Resurrection of Jesus)

1And when the sabbath was past, Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James, and Salome, had bought sweet spices, that they might come and anoint him.

2And very early in the morning the first day of the week, they came unto the sepulchre at the rising of the sun.

3And they said among themselves, Who shall roll us away the stone from the door of the sepulchre?

4And when they looked, they saw that the stone was rolled away: for it was very great.

5And entering into the sepulchre, they saw a young man sitting on the right side, clothed in a long white garment; and they were affrighted.

6And he saith unto them, Be not affrighted: Ye seek Jesus of Nazareth, which was crucified: he is risen; he is not here: behold the place where they laid him.

Psalm 127:1

1Except the LORD build the house, they labour in vain that build it: except the LORD keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain.

  1. How is it that the pictures you place alongside the text make me see these worlds as if for the first time?

    • With pictures we are using not only our reading ability but also receiving visual aid from images. This could be one reason. Another reason could be the Holy Spirit speaking to your heart. God loves you very much. The Spirit of God woos us with His divine love. Thank you for visiting and reading. Blessings to you…
