When God Is Silent

When God is Silent
When one feels
Nothing
How shall one know
What to do
Where to go
What song to sing
What gift to bring

Faith is more than feeling
Faith will persevere
When silence is all
There is to hear
Faith will conquer fear

When God is silent
Is He near
Does He care
Listen to your heart
Unless it lies to you
Heed the Word of God
What Jesus says is true
I will never leave you nor forsake you
He said to me and you
His Word is true

When God is silent
Listen to His heart
That bled for you

    Carol Ann…
this is beautiful. We humans have such a hard time, sitting in silence…it can feel like we are being held apart…or like love has been withdrawn. But, we must grip the truth always, that we are never alone.
Silence does not mean we are alone…

blessings, and thank you for your words today…what a comfort.

Thank you for stopping by today and thank you for the encouragement. I must heed my own words, and sometimes this is what prompts me to write.

I always look forward to your visits. It is peaceful here today, also. We had some rough weather a few days ago. Australia seems far away but in our world today we are so quickly brought into contact with one another by the Internet or air travel or phones that no place is really out of reach. Much love and blessings…

Thank you for such beautiful words – I believe that often we feel like we are in silence because Heavenly Father wants us to figure out some things in life for ourselves – thus the reason He gave us intellect and a powerful mind. We are never alone; He just wants to allow us to grow.

    Thanks, Chloe xx

    • Jesus is omnipresent and never out of reach as you say. Jesus is Lord of my life. He loves you and me and all of His creation. I learned this from the Bible. I use the masculine pronoun because the Bible uses it. I see you use the feminine pronoun. I cannot discuss the gender of God because the Bible, other than to use the masculine pronoun calling Jesus a man while here on earth, does not say. Do you believe that the Bible is the Word of God? You may believe whatever you choose and I will respect your choice, Trisha. If you wish, tell me more. If not, again, I respect your choice.
