God’s Plan

One plan
For His purpose

(God knew all along
My plan would fail)

God has His plan
That will not fail
I will watch
And Wait and
Marvel as He works
His plan for
His purpose
For He promises
This for His children

Psalm 127

1Except the LORD builds the house, they labor in vain that build it: except the LORD keep the city, the watchman wakes but in vain.

2It is vain for you to rise up early, to sit up late, to eat the bread of sorrows: for so he gives his beloved sleep.

3Lo, children are a heritage of the LORD: and the fruit of the womb is his reward.

4As arrows are in the hand of a mighty man; so are children of one’s youth.

5Happy is the man that hath his quiver full of them: they shall not be ashamed, but they shall speak with the enemies in the gate. (KJV)

Isaiah 64:4

4 Since ancient times no one has heard, no ear has perceived, no eye has seen any God besides you, who acts on behalf of those who wait for him.

(New International Version)

I love this! It does us no good to try and continue on our way, doing what we think we know to be right, and all along we’re wrong because God has something else planned for us. It’s like you said in the poem, we may as well sit back and enjoy in amazement. Great post! 🙂

Waiting on God’s plan is one of the wonderful parts of our life in Christ. Being able to see his work unravel before us and trust that we are in his strong hands.
