Praise to God

Though my sins be as scarlet
They shall be whiter than snow
Though some would count me guilty
I’ll live with you I know
Praise my Jesus
Praise my God

Though you slay me
Yet I’ll trust you Job said
I know the old old story
I’lll live with you in glory
Praise my Jesus
Praise my God

Maligned by ones that
Should have loved me
I’ll love them just the same
I’ll wait for you to dress my wounds
Praise my Jesus
Praise my God

Though they despise me
I’ll lift them up to you Lord
Save them from their sins
Wash them whiter than snow Lord
Praise my Jesus
Praise my God

Hey Carol! Do you think you could drop me a line at sskid2000 AT hotmail DOT com? I’d like to ask your thoughts on something, but I’d rather not ask them here. I’d appreciate it if you have the time.

Beautiful poem. =] I love the opening lines:

“Though my sins be as scarlet
They shall be whiter than snow.”

    Thanks for sharing. ❤

  3. Thank you. I love those lines, also. Thanks to Jesus, we can claim that beautiful promise. Thank you for stopping by.

I am reading and enjoying your poetry. This one touches me deeply, as I struggle with the grief for my loved ones, who seem to despise me at times. I’m reminded that it isn’t me, but rather, the one who lives in me.
Your poem speaks so eloquently, of the love I have for those who still seem so distant.
    Thank you!

    • Hi Carrie. I am glad you visited my blog and that you found this verse. Yes, our loved ones sometimes hurt us. Like Jesus, we say, forgive them, Father, for they know not what they do. Keep praying and loving. We have His promises to hear our prayer and grant our requests. Blessings to you out there in the sky flying here and there… Safe in Him.
