FIrSt dRaFT … fIrsT DRaFt … FIrsTtt
When will I learn that my fIrsT DfrAft is not a product ready to be seen? But it seems so GreAT the first time I read it! It’s as READY as it’ll ever be, I think.
Not so, silly woman. It doth stink!

I love your kind attitude! I posted a short story that I wrote this afternoon. Two hours later a read it again and thought it was really bad and took it off. I won’t be able to tell for sure until I let it cool and read it again. I hope I can work on it and make it good. I revised “Becca” several times after I posted it. Duh. Not very professional, but very human. 🙂

I was also laughing when I read this, because it’s so true! Stay positive though, revisions will indeed make it that good. ^^

There is definitely excitement when you finish the first draft. The moment where you think you’ve made it and you just want to celebrate. Then reality hits and you realise that the work is only just beginning. Best of luck with the revisions.

Thank you for the encouragement. A first draft is a good thing but not a finished thing. Best wishes for you in your writing, also.

^_^ Oh so very, very true! For me anyway, I couldn’t say if your first drafts stink because I’ve never seen them. But I can tell you mine always need a liberal application of D.O. ^_^

Ha! I don’t know why I seem to think my first draft sounds good enough. The next day it sounds like trash! I would like to have several drafts going at once. I don’t know if that would make me more patient or not. Thanks for dropping by.
