Irish Soda Bread

Irish Soda Bread, one of my favorite comfort foods, turns out perfect every time I bake it. This plain bread, delicious and easy to prepare, with texture like no other quick bread I’ve eaten, pleases my husband, as well. I imagine what it would be like dining in Ireland where this special bread is commonly served at meals. We like it warm with butter and blueberry preserves. Varieties of Irish Soda Bread recipes are plentiful. Flour, soda, salt and buttermilk are the main ingredients. The recipe I prefer calls for raisins and may be found at http://simplyrecipes.com/recipes/irish_soda_bread/.
